I love, love, LOVE gingerbread cookies.  The gingerbread recipe I use is for soft, spicy, sweet cookies, and I can't wait to make it every year.  The smell of the cookies baking made my out-of-control holiday to do list so much more bearable this weekend.

This year I decided to spruce up the decorations on the gingerbread:

The recipe makes lots and lots of cookies, which I quickly farmed out to friends, holiday party hosts, and our co-workers.  It's a long wait until next December, so I'm hoping to have another excuse to make a batch in the coming weeks.
