Nola Birthday Party

A chance run-in over Christmas in New Orleans led to this fun set of cookies I did for two girls turning 25 who had a party this weekend.

I did initials, numbers, cupcakes, high heels, fleurs de lis, cookies from both girls' alma maters (one of which was mine, too -- Georgetown!).  My favorite idea was a cookie with the Safeway logo -- where the birthday girls met when both families lived in DC years ago.

I packed them all with lots of bubble wrap and was so pleased to hear that they arrived, and to get some pictures from the party.  Happy birthday Raine and Mamie!

A Girly Birthday

Last week I did a batch of cookies for a friend's niece who was turning one.  She wanted bright pink, yellow and teal and lots of fun girly shapes.  Here's what I came up with.

I packed them up and wrapped them well as they were traveling via plane with my friend and her one year old.  I was happy to hear that they all made it intact. :)

New Year's Eve Cookies

As I mentioned, we hosted a small NYE party on Monday night.  It was a great excuse to a) clean the house, b) eat (too many) bacon-based appetizers, and most importantly, c) catch up and celebrate with friends.  I may or may not have worn a shirt with sequins.

While I didn't do a great job of capturing pictures of any of the above, I did get several ahead of time of the cookies I made:

The only non-cookie picture I got was of course of Jerry, too worn out from the party to shake of the happy new year crown:

Here's to a great 2013!

Happy New Year!

This is a quick preview of some cookies I did this week for a NYE party we hosted last night.  More pictures to follow later this week.

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2013!
